Let me introduce Alpensia Resort, a wonderful place to enjoy nature all year round.
Alpensia Resort is an entertainment destination center designed by the Cuningham Group,
who also participated in the development of well-known theme parks such as Warner Bros and Universal Studios.
Alpensia was used as the main press center, international broadcasting center,
and official family hotel for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
Additionally, it has become a popular destination for families, offering facilities such as
alpine coasters, ecological learning centers, animal farms, and concert halls.
1. Accommodation
Accommodation facilities such as a 5-star Intercontinental Resort
and a 4-star Holiday Inn & Suites are available for guests.
2. Food
The restaurants located in the resort offer delicious gourmet dishes from
Korean and western cuisine for you to enjoy.
3. Ocean 700 Waterpark & Sauna
Alpensia Ocean 700 is an indoor waterpark with an altitude of 700 meters.
It has a beautiful tropical theme, and can be enjoyed during all four seasons.
You can try out anything from the fun slides, like the tube slide, or the exciting pools, such as the wave pool.
There’s also a lazy river and an outdoor pool!
Additionally, there are sunbeds, cabanas, and snack bars, amongst other amenities.
There’s also a sauna located at the 3rd floor of Alpensia Ocean 700,
open and available throughout the year.

Take a ride in the Alpine coaster that can reach a thrilling top speed of 40 km / h.
Plus, this thrilling coaster has an exceptional view of Daegwallyeong-myeon, a beautiful mountain range!

Sledding Slope
The sledding slope at Alpensia is 80 meters long with an elevation difference on 22 meters.
For convenience there’s a total of 200 sleds for use, so you don’t have to worry about long waiting times.
Additionally, you don’t have to worry about walking up the hill over and over again!
There’s a moving walkway that leads to the top of the slope, so you can ride endlessly without wasting energy.
This is a fun activity for both young and old where you can make life-long memories.
5. Directions by car
From Seoul
Follow hwy #1 (Gyunbu Hwy) South till you come to the junction for Hwy #4 (Youngdong Hwy).
Take Hwy #4 East, toward Gangleung.
Once on Hwy #4 East, it is pretty straight forward until you reach the Daegwallyeong Interchange.
Along the way you will pass Ichon, Wonju, Seamal, and Jinbu junctions.
Once you reach Hoenggye Interchange, take a right and follow the signs to Alpensia Resort.
