Winter in South Korea, from December to March,
is chilly and often below freezing, with some magical snowfall here and there.
It’s a dry season, perfect for enjoying winter sports and cozying up in the cold!

In South Korea,
January and February are the coldest months,
with temperatures ranging from -6°C (21°F) to 3°C (37°F) in January and -4°C (25°F) to 5°C (41°F) in February.

January
Usually the coldest month, with temperatures often dropping below freezing, especially
in northern and mountainous areas.
Snow is common. perfect for Winter Vacations.
February
A bit milder, but still chilly, with temperatures gradually
warming towards the end of the month, hinting at the arrival of spring.
Both months are dry, with snow sometimes accumulating near ski resorts,
making it an ideal time for skiing and other winter activities.

Layering is key: start with a moisture-wicking base layer to keep sweat away,
add an insulating mid-layer like fleece or down for warmth,
and finish with a waterproof and windproof outer layer to protect against the elements.
**Don’t forget accessories like gloves, a warm hat, and a scarf to protect your extremities.**
