The Samcheok Jeongwol Daeboreum Festival is a traditional Korean celebration held in Samcheok to mark
the first full moon of the lunar calendar.
This vibrant festival is deeply rooted in Korean culture and is celebrated with various activities and rituals designed to bring good fortune, ward off bad luck, and foster community spirit.
Highlights of the festival include traditional folk games, cultural performances, and the lighting of the moon house (a large bonfire) to symbolize the burning away of misfortune.
Participants can also enjoy local delicacies, experience traditional customs, and partake in wishes for a prosperous year ahead.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Samcheok's natural beauty, the Jeongwol Daeboreum Festival offers a unique opportunity to

You can watch or participate in traditional activities such as Mangwolnori (Moon Viewing Play) and Tug-of-War,
while also enjoying a variety of traditional Korean foods.

High1 Resort is a large-scale comprehensive recreation facility with ski resorts, golf courses, casinos, and accommodations.
High1 is a cultural tourism leisure resort consisting of Gangwon Land Convention Hotel, Gangwon Land Casino, Gangwon Land Hotel,
High1 Ski, High1 C.C., High1 Hotel, Valley Condominium, and Mountain Condominium, centering on High1 Resort.
During winter, High1 Resort runs Snow World as well as Gondola.
Enjoy a nice snow sledding surrounded by snow and admire the snowy mountain by the window of the Gondola!
The view from High1 cable car is breathtaking, as the ski resort is located high up.
Activities are not included.
